Lately a number of Weiboers are bad mouthing Wallace claiming he had sex with prostitutes and has messy relationships with girls.

I'm glad this time Huajae is not remaining silent anymore. Today, Wallace's lawyer posted on Huajae Studio Weibo that according with their interviews with Wallace, Wallace said he didn't do anything those weiboers said. Wallace's lawyer announced that those weiboers (backed by some media companies) must delete all the related weibo posts with 24 hours. Also, within 3 days they must publicly apologize to Wallace. Otherwise, they will take legal action against them. :#)

~:-( Good on you, Tobe. It's time to send the message that defamation should not be tolerated. Otherwise, these &%$#@ will continue their crusade to hurt Wallace and others.

It is sad to when media companies misuse their resources to hurt others. That's why personally, I never trust the media. A recent poll in Australia shows that politicians and journalists have very low standings in the minds of ordinary people. Nurses, teachers and doctors are most trusted and respected.

Good thing they are taking legal action. I hate it when the media try to ruin people. I dont care to read about them because it's only going to make me upset. It makes me think what kind of those people are in their daily life. Is that how they treat their families, friends, spouses, and children? What do their families think of them?

Regarding the most trusted profession, pharmacist used to be number one until some jerks ruined it.

I wondered what was that document when l saw it in weibo.
When someone has reached certain grade of fame is due to all kind of envies and many of these envious people try to harm that person, just because.
It's great you and later Huajae took action immediately. There is a precedent now and even if l doubt the slanders will accept Huajae conditions, to take legal action should stop all those ...persons... to attack innocent people.

Wallace dear, we trust you and support you.

What is the status, Tobe? And yes what are the details? I don't understand Huajae's lawyer's letter? I think the blogger has responded right saying that Huajae threatened them? It is sad when society denigrates into a mentality that is their right to slander innocent people.

Yes, yueniang. Unfortunately, that's the entertainment world. They seem to feed on rumours and slanders. All Wallace want is to act and be a good actor. His recent success must have incurred much jealousy. I support Huajae taking legal action or at least be doing something. It is their wa of refuting the slander. To imply someone of prostitution is serious slander.

Wallace said in the lawyer letter that he is extremely mentally disturbed by the false news. Do you remember Joe once posted on weibo about a cat and miss you and a watch when is meant to be Wallace's watch? She implied she is seeing Wallace. Later a prostitute posted on weibo several posts that she is seeing Wallace. Joe immediately posted on weibo something about a rotten fruit, implying she is leaving Wallace because he is bad. Wallace has been blamed by Joe's fans and other people for almost 2 years. Lately people are digging up the old news again. For example, some one mentioned in that lawyer letter saying Wallace is seeing some prostitute and attached with a Joe image on Weibo. Wallace must be really mad and so I guess that's why he is seriously considering taking legal action this time.

But at least we now know Ruby is a good friend. During that time she is the only one who stood up for Wallace and said she doesn't believe in those news because Wallace is a decent person.

I wonder why they posted Joe's picture in the slanderous article? And yes, I read about the watch and cat thingie. I don't know why Joe seems to be playing games and her implications and round about talk certainly hurt Wallace as people are cooking a storm out of guessing games. And yes, I was touched when Ruby came out to defend Wallace during the earlier psycho delusional whore case since Wallace prefers to be quiet. As the saying goes, you know who your friends are in difficult times. Ruby is a friend and she has won my respect. Whatever she does and say, is not meant to hurt Wallace but help him.

In the entertainment business is very difficult to find good friends.
I am glad that Ruby is a good friend of Wallace Huo.
I also think that silence is a good solution against defamation.
Let these slanders of lawyers and they know their job.
Unfortunately, as an actor become very famous and loved by his fans,
more slandering him.
This is indicative of the great glory of our Wallace Huo.
I Love Wallace Huo!

Pear, the problem is Joe DIDN'T deny it was Wallace that she implied in her posts. An enemy can do a lot of damage. Ironically she has gained fame for the whole ordeal.

You are not old, my dear ladies [:-]
You are always lovely and humorous.

Huajae studio left three days for the website who wrote the false news to delete their posts and apologize, and also left three days for some one on weibo who has a lot of followers and spreading the slanders to delete their posts. Today is the last day.

It seems like Huajae and their lawyer will bring the case to court finally.

Yes, that is how I see it too. In fact, I remember seeing a vid where she was interviewed whether she would marry and she said something like "I would but definitely not him (Wallace)". IMO, she is playing the 'poor jilted girl'. Certainly, hell has no fury than a woman scorned. Unfortunately, I think it was a mistake that Wallace acted in the same drama as Joe. And I cannot blame anyone by jumping into conclusions that they were having an affair when she posted personal items on her weibo and implied proximity. Sadly, a hard lesson learnt for Wallace. There are some people whom we should keep a distant from.

OMG, as always, I'm late! I can't believe those people dared to come out and do that! However, as most of you stated, jealousy could do a lot of damage. BUT I'm soooo glad that Wallace and Huejae decided to take action this time. Okay, I get it with his principle with staying silent and letting the public decide with his past view, but it's better to take action this time since it's being blown WAY out of proportion. And Wallace and his team must have a meeting and decide on this and all. So we'll have to wait and see if those people would withdraw and apologize or be taken to court. I hope it's the latter, because I really want to see them sweat and get grilled. See how they like it. It's not like the first time medias are being sued/taken to court, but I want to see them suffer and have it thoroughly investigated so Wallace could get some justice out of it. Or I sure hope so, considering how I don't know how it works over there, but hope to see those people get slammed for slander.

It's so sad when Wallace tried to remain silent and hoped that people would leave him alone. But these people just don't give up in defaming him. I don't know whether the Chinese law will protect the innocent people. But in the West this could be a serious issue.

Hey DTLCT. why are you always late? :-X Never mind, better late than never.

Yes Rose. Defamation is a serious offence here too. The laws are clear cut and consistent and there is without doubt that the implied name in the slanderous article points to Wallace. Huajae must engage a good lawyer to obtain a fair hearing and to send the message no decent being (be it Wallace or other actors/actresses) deserve to have their names tarnished and defamed out of whatever motive from the other side.

I thought Joe went to New York around that time that she posted the watch photo, also she did deny the rumors after she returned in a fashion photo shoot?

Maybe Joe will have a new show airing soon? Maybe this is for her publicity?

Seems there are no rumors of him and anyone else other than Tang Yan or Joe Chen...not even rumors with the new lady leads.. l-O l-O

China is trying to.....but it is hard to enforce when it's internet use.

China tightens rules on Internet use, online comments

(AP) / 4 February 2015

The latest announcement extends that “real name” registration requirement to blogs, microblog services such as the popular Sina Weibo and website comment sections.

Beijing — China announced on Wednesday that users of blogs and chat rooms will be required to register their names with operators and promise in writing to avoid challenging the communist political system, further tightening control over Internet use.

The announcement follows what technology companies say are official efforts in recent weeks to block virtual private networks that are used to circumvent China’s extensive Internet filters. China has the world’s biggest population of Internet users with 649 million people online but increasing censorship has chilled the popularity of social media.

Beijing has required Internet companies since 2012 to obtain real names of some users. But compliance was uneven and the rules failed to specify what services were covered.

The latest announcement extends that “real name” registration requirement to blogs, microblog services such as the popular Sina Weibo and website comment sections. Such settings offer many Chinese their only opportunity to express themselves in public in a society in which all media are controlled by the ruling Communist Party.

The rules also require Internet services for the first time to have users sign a contract that includes a pledge to refrain from “illegal and unhealthy” activity.

Wednesday’s announcement affirmed an earlier prohibition against posting material deemed a threat to state power or national security — terms the ruling party uses to describe opposition to communist rule. It said operators will be required to deactivate accounts of violators.

The ruling party encourages Internet use for business and education but tries to block material deemed subversive or obscene. Beijing regularly launches new censorship initiatives to respond to changes such as the growing popularity of social media.

The Cyberspace Administration of China said the latest rules are needed to combat “username chaos.” In a statement, the agency said users took inappropriate online names such as Putin and Obama, promoted “vulgar culture,” committed fraud by pretending to be Communist Party officials or agitated for separatist causes.

Operators will be required to assign an employee to review and keep track of user details to ensure they comply, the agency said.

The government of President Xi Jinping has been calling on Internet companies since last year to “spread positive energy” online.

In May, Sina Corp., which operates one of China’s most popular Internet platforms, said it was penalized for allowing “unhealthy and indecent content” online. Sina was fined $815,000 and stripped of two of its licenses for Internet publication and online transmission of audio-visual programs.

In a statement on its own Sina Weibo microblog account, Sina said it “firmly supports” the new measures. It posted instructions for users to alert censors to possible violators.

China operates the world’s most extensive system of Internet monitoring and filters. It blocks access to websites abroad run by human rights and other activists groups, as well as popular services such as the Google search engine and Facebook.

Until recently, users of virtual private network, or VPN, services were able to skirt those restrictions to reach business tools operated by Google and other blocked sites. But in recent weeks, some companies that operate VPNs, which encrypt traffic to prevent censors from reading it, say tighter controls have disrupted their services.

The government has not confirmed it was responsible for the blockage. But an official of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, responding to a question about it at a Jan. 27 news conference, said, “harmful information should be managed according to Chinese laws.”

Censorship also has eroded the popularity of social media such as Sina Weibo, which freelance journalists and independent commentators used to distribute news reports and essays. The number of users has declined since Beijing tightened control in 2013 over how such services could be used.

The number of microblog users as of the end of last year declined to 249 million, some 7.1 percent, or 32 million people, below 2013, according to a state-authorized research body, the China Internet Network Information Center.
