@BB: if you want to buy it, it's China Newsweek Weekly no. 738. @xujiaye : thank you very much for the magz Table of Contents! It will have 4 pages of Wallace interview starting from page 88! I wonder why the title of the interview is 身体里还住着一个杨过, there's Yang Guo (character of Return of The Condor Heroes?) inside my body? Edited by Melanie, Dec 24 2015, 12:11 PM.

@Melanie, is there a link to buy the English version? Why did the interview title 'Yang Guo inside is body'? Talking about Yang Guo, somewhere in this forum, there was a discussion that Wallace was interested in the character for acting but they gave it to Huang Xiao Meng. |

@BB that special edition for Most Influentual Person 2015 is weekly chinese edition only :( For the monthly English edition (not sure it will cover him as extensive as in Chinese ed.), wait until the staff upload it as pdf around mid January here : http://issuu.com/newschinamag/docs/feb2016 (not on sale yet) That title took me by surprise. I heard he is referencing himself as 'wolf' lately, but as 'Yang Guo'? Have to read the interview to find it out. Edited by Melanie, Dec 24 2015, 12:36 PM.

@Melanie, thanks Mel. He may not be the one who referred to himself as Yang Guo? I think, if I am not mistaken, Yang Guo is 'rebellious'? I think the 'wolf' comment may not be serious. Maybe he likes wolves. |

Right on the spot @BB, rebellious is the key, also Yang Guo's childhood. Full China Newsweek article here http://mp.weixin.qq.com/s?__biz=MzIyNzA2Njk5OA==&mid=401010837&idx=1&sn=2db7bfc591dc1c2d1e4f94225f9122eb&scene=0#wechat_redirect Dear @Administrator, please put this article into the Magazine Interviews section. I think this is the greatest award he ever has up until now. Take your time freely, after all it's long holiday weekend now, a family time. Merry Christmas! Edited by Melanie, Dec 24 2015, 09:05 PM.

Wolf... a loner, capable of anything being. l'm sure Tobeme will translate the interview if she has the time. Then we will know why the editors used the Yang Guo term. |

credit: Chinese raw @ http://weibo.com/p/1001603923660665664155 Viet translation by [M] @ FB/WallaceHuo.VNFC Wallace says in real life, he's not like Bai Zi Hua or Linghu Chong. Rather, he feels he's similar to Yang Guo because of the following reasons: 1)YG is very aloof. Onscreen, Wallace seems aloof to viewers. 2)YG didn’t grow up in a perfect family, which causes him everlasting pain. Wallace fell into a depression when his parents divorced. 3)YG is usually quiet. Wallace doesn’t like the noisiness and flashiness of the entertainment industry. 4)In a lively crowd, both YG and Wallace give other people the impression of being lonely and detached from what’s happening around them. Wallace identifies with YG because YG is rebellious, lonely and does things by himself. Wallace feels this is similar to what he has experienced in his life. When he was young, a classmate told him that he looked fierce when he was angry. Also, he doesn’t like to talk a lot so it’s hard for other people to get close to him. @lidge, thank you very much for the translation. I think his childhood is also affecting how he views relationships. And it is true, isn't it. When he is serious, not that he looks fierce but does give an unfriendly impression. I have seen real life people who were affected by family divorce in the manner he was. Makes it hard for them to get involved in relationships for fear of history repeating itself. He's a good man. I am sure he will find that special someone some day. |
