Being the one to succeed Takeshi Kaneshiro for Mitsubishi Motors CF, Wallace Huo had recently become a great hotshot in the young generation artists. The reason for picking him is more than obvious. His handsome look is a type that girls always fall for, and his TV series At the Dolphin Bay is currently the biggest hit. A bright future is now firmly held in Wallace’s hands.

GQ: How do you see yourself?
WH: I don’t have much self-confidence. I used to hide at the corner, and felt secured when nobody saw me. However, I am very self-disciplined. I believe that self-discipline is the key to success.

GQ: Why a person with such a personality goes into this entertainment business?

WH: You will do anything when you realize that you need money. I did not come from a rich family, but this helped me mature faster. I had done waiter and delivery person in the past, and I know that I can cope with the hardship in real life.

GQ: Talk a bit more about yourself.

WH: I am simple and straight. I had been in the basketball team in high school, and had a couple of girls chasing me then. But I know that pretty girls are something I should not trust. Let me put it this way: I don’t want to get hurt, so I will avoid those flamboyant and shining pretties. I know they will blow me up. Besides, I need to focus on my job, which is my first priority now.

GQ: Other than money, what does this job mean to you?

WH: I aspire to be recognized as a capable person. Acting can help me reach this goal, and provide me a way to ventilate the stress. I am extremely introspective and even weird in a way. I would like to cry out loud to relieve my pressure. In holidays I like to do the laundry or go bike-riding.

GQ: Your wish for the future?

WH: I wish I can keep doing the TV. The reality of this business is, you are nobody if you don’t make a single solid thing of your own.
